❌ A pain-free sedentary life “isn’t possible”
❌ Cooking at home is “too expensive”
❌ “Purified” water
❌ Sitting is “the enemy”

I sat at a computer with poor posture for a decade.
What actually matters to me now is:
✅ Well-rounded ergonomics
✅ Consistent sleep pattern
✅ Hot sauna
✅ Soft tissue work
✅ Reverse osmosis drinking water (with added minerals)
✅ Giving up fast food 100%
✅ Breathwork
✅ Intentional strength training
✅ Muscle recovery
Sitting at a computer for long periods of time broke me, physically and mentally.
I’ve fixed my computer-related pain and excessive muscle tension.
I’ve done the hard part. And I enjoy laying out everything I’ve learned.
The easy part? Just show up with an open-mind and consistent effort.
Instead of these popular propagandas, here’s what I do instead:
→ A pain-free sedentary life “isn’t possible”: Pain-free ergonomics is a very attainable goal. It won’t be easy, but it’s possible. I’ve come back from chronic pain and excessive muscle tension. I enjoy laying out my personal experience so other people can learn from my mistakes (and my successes).
→ Cooking at home is “too expensive”: When I used to eat “healthy” fast food, I wouldn’t get out of there for less than $15. Breaking news: it definitely wasn’t healthy. The ultra-processed oils they were cooking with were causing chaos in my gut. Anyway, back to the price of eating out ($15 average). Instead, I can cook a pasture-raised, 100% grass-fed filet mignon steak for $14. Throw in a side of corn chips (that were cooked in avocado oil), and we have the same price I would’ve paid at a fast food restaurant. But this is the most expensive meal I’ll cook. All the other options I make are far less than $15 per meal. And they are all made with organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meat, and healthy animal fats.
→ “Purified” water: The word “purified” has become a super popular marketing propaganda for bottled water companies. Natural spring water contains healthy minerals (like sodium, magnesium, potassium, etc). Ultra-purified water may do a great job of filtering out bacteria, but it can also filter out healthy minerals. I used to drink ultra-purified water. It led to chronic, excessive muscle tension. When I started drinking quality water that contained healthy minerals, I noticed a significant improvement in the functionality of my muscles and joints.
→ Sitting is “the enemy”: Sitting with poor posture is definitely an enemy. But it’s not the only one. Working in the exact same position for long periods of time can cause repetitive strain and overuse injuries. This can happen regardless if our posture is good or bad. That’s why I like to work in multiple different positions throughout the day (sitting in a chair, standing, sitting on a stool, reclined).
I fell for a lot of these “propagandas.” Did you fall for any of them too?
